The Story
The very first release on HOOB records was a vinyl EP. This was in 2004, long before vinyl became hip again. The band was called Universum and consisted of Holger Berg, Fabian Kallerdahl and Petter Carlsson. We still have some left of that one. We think. Soon after that Fabian teamed up with his brother Josef and drummer Michael Edlund and formed the jazz trio Musicmusicmusic. Their first album was out in April 2004 and since then the members of the trio are managing the label. HOOB records soon grew to be a collective of musicians in both Göteborg and Stockholm and is now the home of just under forty artists. On the photo, anno 2007, you can see Fabian in the beard, Josef on the CEO-chair (he has the chair, but not the title) and Michael, about to change the light bulb in the office (you only need one flying drummer to do that).
